2016 Scholarship Recipients Wellington Waterpolo Schoolboys Team

WHiPA were proud to support the Wellington Water Polo Schoolboy's team competing in the Trans-Tasman Schoolboy's Water Polo tournament in Sydney in December.

The team won 5 out of the 6 games the played in the tournament, finishing top of their group and 7th place overall. (This was the highest placing the competition rules permitted them to achieve due to being a combined team rather than a single school team).

Following the end of the tournament, three players (Hamish Booker, Mataio Pou and Te Kaha Solomon-Murch) stayed on in Sydney for another week to represent the New Zealand Schoolboy’s Water Polo Team as they played a three match test series against Australia which they won 2-1.
