WHiPA are thrilled to announced the recipients of the 2016 WHiPA Lloyd Morrison Pathway to Podium and Coach Performance Advance scholarships.

Three athletes will be part of the Wellington Pathway to Podium programme for a two year period. The programme is designed to educate and develop the athletes on the transition into the high performance environment.

Congratulations:

  • Rebecca Moynihan (Raumati Raptors Swimming Club) – Athlete Scholarship

  • Ruby Heath (Swim Zone Racing) – Athlete Scholarship

  • Chelsey Edwards (Swim Zone Racing) – Athlete Scholarship

Coach Walter Maxwell will be a part of the Wellington Performance Coach Advance programme. This programme supports a coach’s development in the needs of the performance environment and targets the soft skills associated to coaching.

Both of these programmes are part of Sport New Zealand's initiatives to support coaches and athletes in the requirements of the performance environment, and are administered through Sport Wellington.
